About the Recipe

Mojito is a traditional Cuban highball. The cocktail often consists of five ingredients: white rum, sugar, lime juice, soda water, and mint. Its combination of sweetness, citrus, and herbaceous mint flavors is intended to complement the rum, and has made the mojito a popular summer drink!

  • 3-4 Mint leaves

  • 2 ounces White Rum

  • 0.5 Lime juice

  • 0.5 Simple Syrup

  • 3 ounces Club Soda/ Sparkling Water

Step 1

First, muddle the mint. (Tip: Don't over muddle your mint, can cause bitterness.) Place it in the bottom of your shaker and use a cocktail muddler to press unit it become aromatic. This should only take a few taps with your muddler!

Step 2

Shake! Add the rum, lime juice, simple syrup and ice to the cocktails shaker, shake until the ingredients are completely combined and chilled.

Step 3

Then Strain. Strain the contents of the cocktail shaker over a glass filled with ice. Top your glass with soda water, and garnish it with lime slices and more fresh mint sprigs.

Step 4

Finally, taste and adjust. Anytime you're making cocktails at home this step is essential. Customize your drink to your tastes, finding a balance of flavors you really love.
