As Event Mixologists, we've seen our share of beautiful venues that were easy to work with and then there were some that gave our clients massive headaches and run arounds! I believe we all can agree that when it's time to choose a venue our top 3 on our list will probably be:
1. Affordability
2.Location
3.Capacity
And once we narrow it down to our favorite one if you plan to serve alcohol... it does NOT stop there! Many of our clients automatically assume that ALL venues will allow the serving of alcohol and regrettably they do not. Most venues that do not allow it will inform you of this, whereas some may not. Things to ask your Event Venue prior to signing on the dotted line:
Is this Venue licensed & permitted to the serving of alcohol?
If not, does this Venue require a licensed vendor to serve?
If so, is this Venue required to have a licensed & insured bartending company?
Is there a fee to serve red wine? (Most venues in South Carolina may have this)
Service & Amenities... Does this venue have a cleanup crew? Is there an ice machine?
As you can see, there are a lot of things to take into consideration when choosing the right event venue for you. However, with our experience and research we've made it a little bit easier for you!
